Yogurt

Yogurt is a fermented diary product made  by adding live bacteria to milk ,specially bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus .This process thickens the milk and gives yogurt its distinctive tart flavor.

Types of Yogurt:

  • Greek yogurt: A higher protein yogurt with a smooth creamy mouthfeel, made by straining  whey from the yogurt.
  • Skyr: A fermented fresh acid-curd soft cheese ,high in protein and low in lactose.
  • Plant Based Yogurt: Made from soy ,coconut ,nuts ,rice, and other plants food. These yogurts may be lower in protein and calcium unless fortified.
