nargisi kofta

Ingredients: 

For the Kofta

  • 6 eggs (4 hard-boiled 2 raw)
  • 500g minced meat (lamb or beaf)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 green chillies.(finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp mint leaves
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tbs garam masala
  • salt to taste
  • 2tbsp roasted garam flour or breadcrumbs
  • oil for deep frying


For the Gravy:(Optional but recommended)
  • 2 medium onion
  • 1 tomato (pureed)
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tbs termeric powder
  • 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tbsp garam masala
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 cup yougurt beaten
  • Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Boil for eggs,peel and set aside
  2. In a mixing bowl ,combine minced meat ,choped onion,green chillies,ginger garlic paste ,coriander mint ,chilli powder, garam masala. salt ,gram flour and 2 raw eggs mix well.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 portion .Flatten each portion and wrap around a boiled egg ,sealing compeletly to boiled an oval shape.
Fry the Koftas:
  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat
  • Gently placed the wrapped egg (kofta into the oil)
  • Fry until golden brown andcrisp on all sides (about 6-8) minutes
  • Remove and drain on paper towels



Enjoy:
Its a royal dish ,perfect for a special meal .Dont forget to slice one in half too show off that beautiful layered look .
